Catherine E. Lhamon is the inaugural executive director of the Edley Center on Law and Democracy at UC Berkely. Previously, she served as Assistant Secretary for Civil Rights under both Presidents Biden and Obama and previously chaired the U.S. Commission on Civil Rights. This is her first book.
